My approach starts with a simple question: what does this skin actually need, and how can we make the treatment plan simple and intentional?
No two people come to me with the same skin, or the same story behind it. I know how vulnerable it can feel to talk about breakouts, texture, pigment, or things you've felt insecure about for years, sometimes decades. I understand the frustration of sorting through everything out there and trying to apply it to your own skin. That's part of why I started Alder: to practice with intention, choosing the products and treatments I actually trust, without a sales target or inflated price tag shaping the conversation. You should leave feeling cared for and understood, not upsold.
We're in the middle of a skincare information overload: more products, more steps, more promises, and more confusion and damaged skin barriers as the result.
Western esthetics is precise, it diagnoses and corrects, aiming for measurable results. Korean skincare philosophy is patient, it protects the barrier first and trusts the skin to do more of the healing on its own. Alder blends both: care that's still results-driven, but never at odds with the skin itself.
My own experience with breakouts, sensitivity, and barrier issues over the years taught me the "less is more" lesson, and it's shaped the way I care for every client. I have held my esthetician license since 2013. In my years spent working in a clinical setting, I have treated a broad range of skin conditions and learned to really see what each person in front of me needs instead of defaulting to a preset routine.
Acne treatment is my favorite part of the job. It's not just about clear skin, I love helping clients feel more like themselves again. I build every treatment plan around what is helpful now, and what is sustainable long term.
